The MA Sansrit PGCF Syllabus has been designed as per the UGC norms based on National Education Policy (NEP) - 2020 by the University of Delhi (DU), Delhi in credit system framework of 4-semester duration. The following 03 Structures are proposed for MA Sanskrit -

Structure 1 (Level 6.5) : PG Curricular Structure with only course work.

Structure 2 (Level 6.5): PG Curricular Structure with Course work + Research.

Structure 3 (Level 6.5): Research

  • MA Sanskrit Course as per the LOCF Syllabus upto the Admission Batch 2024-26
  • The entire MA course is designed as per UGC norms adopted by University of Delhi (DU), Delhi in credit system framework of 4-semester duration. DU norms also apply for evaluation process. MA programme is of 2 years and 4 semesters. Each courses are 4 credits and each students must have to complete 64 credits in 4 semesters in two years. Following specializations are offered by the department in third and fourth semesters in the following areas:
  • 1. Group A : Vaidika Vanmaya
  • 2. Group B : Darshana
  • 3. Group C : Sahityashastra 
  • 4. Group D : Vyakarana
  • 5. Group E : Dharmashastra
  • 6. Group F : Epigraphy
  • 7. Group G : Modern Sanskrit Literature
  • 8, Group H : Itihas & Puran (Only for SDC)
  • 9. Group I : Jyotish
